WWE is a heartbeat for millions of people who just love to see the amazing matches for wrestling by the players throughout the year. WWE takes the privilege of arranging special events for the fans as well. Talking specifically of the summer slam for the year 2017, we see that some spectacular matches were delivered by the wrestlers that are sure going to be a treat for the memory for years to come. The wrestlers from both the clubs of Raw and Smackdown participated in the matches and made it a historical event that earned a lot of appreciation and course dollars for the WWE.

Highlights of the WWE Summer Slam for the year 2017

We saw that there were five titles shifts in the matches, while each match was a visual treat and we saw that the crowd went crazy either cheering their favorite players or yelling at the opponents when their heroes didn’t make a good move. The main event was an amazing one that was waited since long and we all loved it.

Here we have gathered the highlights and the results of all the matches of the summer slam so that if you have missed any single one of them, you can get the idea how the things went on.

The Hardy Boyz and The Miz& The Miztourage Jason Jordan

This match was not a very much anticipated one, and the whole match and results were quite disappointing for the audience. Only a few hundred people showed up, and the match began real slowly. The Hardy Boyz were least excited about the match, and it ended up quite quickly after a few back to backs from Jordan.

Cruiserweight Championship– Neville vs. Akira Tozawa

This match was quite interesting as Neville reclaimed his title and got it back after a tense match with Tozawa. Both the players fought hard for the title, and each move was filled with blood and painful bangs. But in the end, Neville was the one who got the title.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship-The Usos vs. The New Da

This match wasn’t thought to be this much fun and thrill before it started but the amazing performance form both the teams and the joint efforts resulted in a well-deserved win for the Uso brothers.

John Cena vs. Baron Corbin

Again Cena was the one who won the title again and remained champion after kicking Corbin hard repeatedly over the whole match.

SmackDown Women’s Championship- Natalya vs. Naomi

As many of us had been predicting that the championship will belong to Natalya at the end of the day, so did happen. After several jaw breaking attempts from Naomi, it was Natalya whose final move dominated and won the title for her.

Big Cass vs. Big Show

This was one of the most boring matches of the whole event where the two Bigs were in front of each other and Amore was trapped in a shark cage above the ring. It was although an attempt form WWE to make the match interesting, people got bored with it soon, and the match ended after a lot of drama where Cass laid both Show and Amore down and claim his win.

Randy Orton def. Rusev

Again a rapid match that ended in the victory for Orton and the feud between the two seems to continue for a lot more time in the future.

Raw Women’s Championship- Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss

Initially, Bliss was taking over the match but all of a sudden Banks got things in her hands and got the title after a quick tap.

Summerslam 2016 Predictions : Catch the Latest wwe Summerslam 2016 Predictions Online for the Upcoming WWE Summerslam 2016 PPV.WWE presents SummerSlam, and it’s arguably the promotion’s most anticipated card of the year.

WrestleMania 32 may have been a letdown with Roman Reigns and Triple H on top, but SummerSlam boasts four very interesting main events – Brock Lesnar versus Randy Orton, Finn Balor versus Seth Rollins, John Cena versus AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler versus Dean Ambrose.
Those matches (along with Sasha Banks versus Charlotte) all look to make SummerSlam an incredible card from an in-ring perspective, and they all have a level of intrigue to them that makes the show even more attractive. Reigns versus Triple H may have been a foregone conclusion, but many of SummerSlam’s most important bouts can go either way.

Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton

If WWE is mad at Lesnar for doing the UFC fight, he could very well lose this to help build Orton back up to a top guy for the brand split. In fact, even if they aren’t mad at him, they might want to do this, anyway. Look at it from both angles: if Lesnar beats Hunt, then how much stronger is it going to make Orton look by beating Lesnar? If he loses to Hunt, then you don’t want Orton to lose to Lesnar to look like Orton is 2 tiers underneath Hunt, right?
PREDICTION: Randy Orton wins.

WWE SummerSlam Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins Universal Title Match

WWE Universal Championship Match: Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

I’m completely shocked that Roman Reigns didn’t end up facing Seth Rollins instead of Finn Balor, which goes against all predictions I had going forward. Because of this blindside, I’m on the fence as to who could win. Seth Rollins seems like the easy pick, but think about it…what if Balor just comes onto the roster and within a few weeks, wins this new title? That would be kind of insane. I’m very excited for the match and I’m okay with either guy winning, so this is a big plus for the card, even if the idea of a second title (especially named the Universal Championship, which will take a long time for me to get used to) is something that I’m not fond of. Prove me wrong, WWE.
PREDICTION: Seth Rollins wins.

SummerSlam 2016 Ambrose vs Ziggler WWE Championship Match

WWE Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Very surprised that not only is Dolph Ziggler getting a title shot, but that it’s happening here. Babyface vs babyface matches rarely happen and Ziggler hasn’t been in the best spot lately, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction. Ambrose will still retain, but I’m a big Ziggler fan and having him as a main eventer again will be great in my mind nonetheless.
PREDICTION: Ambrose retains.

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte

Just as I’m shocked about the Universal Championship situation, I was surprised Sasha Banks won the Women’s Championship from Charlotte on Raw instead of SummerSlam. A rematch was inevitable as it’s not only a built-in storyline from WWE’s rulebook when they need it to be, but it just makes sense to not rush the next person in line (who I assume will be Paige, just out of a blind guess). This is Sasha’s time, so she’s not losing it this quickly.
PREDICTION: Sasha Banks retains.

2016 WWE SummerSlam Apollo Crews vs Miz IC Title

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. Apollo Crews
Shot in the dark that turned out to be right. It makes sense, as Crews is going to be a major force on SmackDown. He could possibly even win the title, even though I don’t think he necessarily will at this show.
PREDICTION: I’m up in the air about this one right now, but leaning towards The Miz retaining through nefarious means.

2016 SummerSlam Styles vs Cena WWE grudge match

AJ Styles vs. John Cena

I was expecting this to have some kind of a stipulation attached to it, such as a Last Man Standing or I Quit gimmick, so I’m disappointed it’s just a regular match instead. Still, this should be good. These two should be really hoping to steal the show and will give it their all. Since this is a rubber match of sorts, but the pressure is more on Cena to come out on top, I think he has the edge to win.
PREDICTION: John Cena is victorious and the internet groans because everyone wanted AJ Styles to win instead.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows

This could be the end of The New Day as champions as they’ve already passed the record and The Club is in need of something to give them a boost after having lost a few times and splitting from AJ Styles.
PREDICTION: Anderson and Gallows win the titles.

Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens

Originally, I thought Enzo and Cass would just have some sort of quick squash match to act as a bathroom break and give them time to talk, but this is a significant upgrade if this happens. The downside, though, is that it’s the opposite for Kevin Owens. That guy should be wrestling for the Universal Championship, not just being thrown into a tag team match. Still, the optimistic point of view is that this is going to be a fun segment with 4 talented guys, so as long as there are plans to utilize everyone in the right ways going forward, we shouldn’t complain. This could end up being one of the most entertaining parts of the night. Maybe Jimmin Marvinluder will show up to help Jericho out.
PREDICTION: How you doin?

WWE United States Championship Match: Rusev (c) vs. Roman Reigns

The question here is whether this is a means to give Roman a title so he doesn’t lose relevancy, or if he’s putting Rusev over as punishment for his suspension. This could very well go either way, as Reigns being the one to defeat Rusev doesn’t hurt The Bulgarian Brute (since, you know, he’s a former world champion and all) but a win over Reigns will drastically help boost Rusev’s stock.
PREDICTION: I’m leaning towards a lame finish where Rusev retains through disqualification with Reigns winning the match, but not the title.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro

This is going to apparently be the first in a “best of seven” series of matches, so either man can win and it won’t amount to anything for a while. Since that’s the case and Cesaro has been getting the one-up on Sheamus more times than the reversal, I’m inclined to think The Celtic Warrior will end up finding a way to win to even the odds and put Cesaro on the defensive.
PREDICTION: Sheamus wins.

Becky Lynch, Carmella & Naomi vs. Natalya, Alexa Bliss & Eva Marie

The heels are definitely losing this one, as I fully expect Eva Marie to drop out of it, not wrestle, and turn this into a handicap match. I also think this is going to be one of the pre-show matches, as they haven’t announced which ones those will be yet and this is very low on the totem pole. At least the women of SmackDown are getting something to do, though, right?
PREDICTION: Team babyface wins.

Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil

Obviously, these two are feuding. This could be a throwaway match to buffer the pre-show or something along those lines.
PREDICTION: Darren Young is victorious with the help of Coach Backlund.
It’s never easy to try and guess what will happen on a WWE show since, more often than not, the company changes plans at the last minute simply for the sake of a swerve. Still, some things can, should, and will happen.
